Ever since the trailer of the movie was released, Prassthanam has been making all the noise around for its thrilling storyline set in a political landscape where we will see Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal in a fight for legacy. The superstar has a super hectic schedule lined up for him is elated that his movie is releasing at the same time as his friends' children have their releases.

A source close to Sanjay Dutt reveals, "Sanjay shares a great camaraderie with Sunny & Anil. The trio has had their respective fan base and stardom during the peak of their careers. Now, it's so strange and exciting at the same time that while his film Prassthanam releases this Friday, his contemporaries kids also mark their release on the same day! While Sunny's son makes his debut this Friday, Anil's daughter Sonam has her film The Zoya Factor releasing"  

Ali Fazal, who plays one of Dutt's sons, is his desired successor while other pivotal roles will be played by Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Satyajeet Dubey Manisha Koirala, and Amyra Dastur. 

Set in a contemporary political family in Lucknow, Prasthanam deals with complex questions on dharma, morality, desire, right and wrong.  

The film is produced by Sanjay's wife Maanayata Dutt. Prasthanam will hit the theatres on September 20, 2019.
